Ancient Hawaiian Calendar

Every aspect of the existence of the Hawaiian people is based on their star, sun, and moon calendars, as it is for all other indigenous people. For most, the knowledge of these calendars are limited to the proper timing for planting and fishing. But to our ancestors the calendars are much more. They are the answer to who we are as a people and how we are connected with all things. To the Kahuna, knowing and understanding calendars is to know and understand the science of spirituality, huna and human truth. Imagine exploring such questions as, when and why did the ancient Hawaiians choose to migrate to these particular islands? How were we guided here? Who was here before us? Come with Kahu through this intriguing journey to the deepest understanding of your own existence.
