Alzheimer’s Disease and Nutrition
The latest research linking Alzheimer’s disease to nutrition will be presented. Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. Care for its victims costs more than the expense of heart disease and cancer combined. This class and slide show is based on the latest scientific research from leading journals worldwide. Medical studies will be presented linking the risk of Alzheimer’s disease to intake of antioxidant fruits and vegetables. Research suggests that lowering saturated fats in the diet can result in better blood flow to the brain. Learn how folate and cobalamin lower homocysteine and why they are crucial for lowering the buildup of amyloid plaques. Recent research shows that frying and broiling can result in AGEs (Advanced Glycation Endproducts) that are a major cause of the inflammation and oxidation in Alzheimer’s disease. See double-blind studies that show which supplements and medical plants have been shown to be effective in reducing the risk and progression of this common dementia. References will be cited.

Reincarnation: What It Means for You and Your Life
Reincarnation is the ancient and widespread belief that souls experience different lives in different bodies. What is the purpose of it? How did we begin reincarnating and will it ever end? Where do we go between incarnated lives? Do we reincarnate on other planets? Do we reincarnate as animals and vice versa? All these questions and more will be addressed and explained. Topics include karma, birth selection, multiple realms, amnesia between lives, among others. This class pieces together a variety of concepts from different sources in order to make sense of the big picture. This class does not attempt to prove reincarnation or defend it, but demystify it so you can draw your own conclusions, and in participating in self-exploration, discover the implications of reincarnation for you.
